Gandhi once said he wished to live simply so that others could simply live - His life work was to unite his people in peace and give economic hope to the poor and marginalized - Bumblebee's vision is to create a simple system in India to network industry so that many communities can market their beautiful products with a profitable return.

Surely this is our purpose - not to live for material things but to live with material things in balance and enjoy the fruits of our labor - we are meant to be busy - busy and productive all our days. Our Lives are not meant to be labored in work but labored in productivity that we enjoy -that nurtures our potential that nurtures our souls- Bumblebee extends this vision to work in partnership with India .

Networking Indian projects and hives of activity in other countries with design and textile centers in Australia:

Bumblebee has created a relationship with a number of communities in India . One of these groups in Southern India, working in co-operation with Goernments to develop projects for the self sufficient development of rural communities, is keen to work with Bumblebee industries.

The production is mainly in natural fibers and can be easily connected with textile center here in Australia . The organization has welcomed support and connection with Bumblebee cottage industries. There are many such organizations -all with skilled artisans, all needing the support and infrastructure that bumblebee cottage industries can bring

Bumblebee is also connected with

The production of honey colored silk, - poorest community in India . Bumblebee wishes to assist community by purchasing this silk and take to its production centers where it envisages manufacturing of unique fabric to be sold to designers, along with development of Bumblebee product for sales and distribution in the up market.
NGOS and religious groups working with the underprivileged. These communities have set up centers to create children's clothing- bags and toys. Rugs, bedding and leather work-shoes etc.
NGO's who assist with medical supplies being taken into Africa . Bumblebee purchases product from this community- Bumblebee designs children's jumpers, to be knitted, it actually takes this product into homes for the aged-in its volunteer program to nurture creativity., it value adds product. Bumblebee works with many such organizations- its desire is to be life giving in every process.
Bumblebee is connected with aid and skill development programs in 50 countries around the globe. The next step is for these programs is to develop micro-economic projects- it is envisaged that the design house will connect with these communities and others in a long term plan to create quality product to distribute through its on gong marketing plan.

Bumblebee assists these communities and others, utilizing skills already developed, with the designs for Bumblebee Factory Children's products.

There are piloted programs for:

Villages in the south of India and their paper manufacturing and fabric work. Bumblebee has brought in quality paper, pads and pens-with small groups of women who started production working with the recycling rubbish from the streets. This production and sales of product assists the whole village and brings medicine to the community from the community.
Silk, fabric and textile production: Developing networks that extend through out India and are ready to work with Australian design and manufacture.

Bumblebee takes in quality Australian design and networks with Indian artisans and their communities to create quality product in partnership, to then market in Australia , America and Europe.

Bumblebee has already set up an infrastructure that connects these small hives in India

And plans to connect many such hives- assisting these communities and others with the designs it has, it needs to develop an Indian office and will create in the Melbourne design workshops

Bumblebee designs are Australian, and production may be all, or part in India -depending on the products.
